OFV-50x Vibrometer Sensor Head

The optical design of the OFV-503 and OFV-505 heads offers excellent performance and exceptional optical sensitivity. The OFV-505 features autofocus and focus memory. Coupled to the OFV-5000 Vibrometer Controller, the OFV-503/505 sensor heads take full advantage of the high-resolution analog and digital processing of the OFV-5000. The OFV-503 and OFV-505 are at the heart of a range of universal and expandable non-contact vibrometer systems.

OFV-55x Fiber-Optic Sensor Head

Fiber optic vibrometers simplify vibration measurement where physical access is difficult, close stand-off distances are required, or where relative motions between two points needs to be measured. The sensor heads utilize flexible fiber optics and an output lens to deliver the laser probe to the measurement point and to collect the reflected light as an input to the interferometer. This design allows for fiber-optic cables with diameters as small as 5 mm and lenses that focus the laser down to a 3 µm diameter spot. 
The flexibility and small size of the cable enables measurements in hard-to-reach and space-limited areas.
Polytec’s fiber optic vibrometers are widely used in the electronics industry for measurements on circuit boards, bonding wires, mobile phones and hard disc drive components. Other applications are found in micro structures, medicine, zoology and automotive manufacturing.
A special, dual-fiber design (OFV-552) permits the direct measurement of differential movement between  two points.

OFV-534 Compact Sensor Head

Fitting a sophisticated heterodyne laser interferometer into an extraordinarily small package is only one of many design triumphs that sets the OFV-534 Compact Vibrometer Head apart from its competition. Two outstanding innovations include an integrated CCD video camera to improve test sample monitoring and laser spot positioning; and, a selection of add-on microscope objectives to measure microstructures with a micron-sized probe spot. These and other remarkable design features permit applications ranging from fast in-line quality control to precise R&D measurements.

Controllers

 

OFV-5000 Vibrometer Controller

The OFV-5000 Controller is the core of Polytec’s latest state-of-the-art laser vibrometer systems. Its modular design allows the frequency, velocity and displacement capabilities to be tailored to your applications. Both analogue and digital decoders are available, giving a frequency range from near DC to 24 MHz, with velocities to ±10 m/s and displacements from the picometer to meter range. In combination with an interferometric sensor head of the OFV series, this is an ultra-precise workhorse for non-contact vibration measurement.

OFV-2500 Vibrometer Controller Series

The OFV-2500 Vibrometer Controllers are compact solutions for challenging vibration measurements in production environments, in component testing and in tasks that require high-frequency bandwidth.
OFV-2500 controllers come in three distinct configurations to suit most common applications.

OFV-2520 Dual Channel Controller

This controller features velocity demodulation for the  simultaneous operation of two sensor heads in a frequency range up to 3.2 MHz.

 

Operation of two sensor heads. A simple, affordable, task-specific measurement solution. Effortless operation through the user-friendly front panel display. Convenient monitoring of signal level and over-range situations of both channels via front panel indicators. Remote control interface for easy external access to the controller settings. OFV-2570 High-Frequency Vibrometer Controller

The OFV-2570 High-Frequency Vibrometer Controller incorporates a dual-range velocity decoder with up to 10 MHz bandwidth and a single-range displacement decoder with up to 24 MHz bandwidth. Both decoders can be operated simultaneously with separate outputs and enable measurement of vibration velocities up to 3 m/s (peak) and displacements up to 75 nm. The instrument includes an LED display for the control settings, signal level display and an RS-232 interface for external communication and programming user-defined settings. Robust enough for an industrial environment and precise enough for the measurement lab,the OFV-2570 satisfies applications where accurate measurements of high-frequency vibration response, phase, linearity and amplitude are needed.

VDD PC-Based Digital Vibrometer

Measurement needs for data storage, MEMS and hearing dynamics push a traditional analog vibrometer beyond its resolution limits. To meet this needs, Polytec offers a choice of either the stand-alone VDD-E-600 Digital Front-End or the DD-600-equipped OFV-5000 Vibrometer Controller with analog and digital capability. The VDD PC-Based Digital Vibrometer operates at 5 MSa/s, offers multi-channel data acquisition and uses the VibSoft-VDD comprehensive software package for data processing.
